Shows And Events In Maui

Obviously you won't be in Las Vegas, but Maui does have some fun shows and interesting events to offer. Below are some recommendations.

Comedy Magic Dinner Show: Warren & Annabelle's. In Lahaina. Most people will see this and dismiss it, because they are not into magic. Trust us, you will love this fairly close up magic plus comedy show. We suggest going for the more expensive option which includes good food plus 2 drinks (recommend the mini champagnes), and book before you get on the island as it does sell out.

Willie K. Great musician, amazing voice and guitar playing skills, and a great showman. The regular place to catch him is at the Mulligan's on the Blue dinner show, but if those dates don't work for you see if you are lucky and he is performing elsewhere on Maui: https://williek.com/show-dates/.

Luau. Either at Wailea Beach Marriott Resort, or at Grand Wailea Resort. If you haven't experienced a Luau on any of the Hawaiian islands, we think you should at least once. In South Maui there are two Luau options at these two Wailea hotels.

'Ulalena at Maui Theatre.This is an OK show if you happen to be in Lahaina and if you can get a bargain on the tickets (search online). You definitely don't need to pay more for seats that are closer to the stage, it is a small theater. The live audio part of the show is what impressed us the most.

Friday Town Parties. A great free event every fourth Friday of the month between 6-9pm at the Azeka Shopping Center in Kihei (and the only time you may struggle to find parking in Kihei, so walk or bus it if you can, or drive there early). Mingle with the locals while enjoying food trucks, craft stalls, art stands, and free live entertainment. Every first Friday the party is in Wailuku, ~~second Friday in Lahaina,~~ third in Makawao, and if you are lucky to have a fifth Friday in the month you are visiting, the town party is on the island of Lanai.

Maui Arts Cultural Center (MACC). In Kahului. This is Maui's main cultural venue with many diverse events to choose from, including popular artists touring nationally. Always check their calendar before you finalize your vacation plans: https://mauiarts.org/calendar.

Last Thursday in Lahaina. Hawaiian Music Series on Baldwin Home Museum lawn, 6-7:30pm.
